BUILDING CHAMPIONS. IMPACTING GENERATIONS THROUGH FACILITIES.

AMERICA FIRST BALLPARK

America First Ballpark - February 7, 2024
Conceptual rendering of America First Ballpark, Utah's new on-campus baseball field.

DESCRIPTION

  • After sharing Smith’s Ballpark with the Salt Lake Bees since 1996, it’s time for Utah Baseball to return home to an on-campus baseball stadium
  • Located on Guardsman Way, directly east of the Spence Eccles Fieldhouse, the new America First Ballpark will offer stunning views of the 11,000-foot peaks of the Wasatch Mountain Range.
  • The on-campus ballpark will feature: NCAA postseason-ready features of broadcast quality LED lights, field turf, indoor clubhouse for the players and coaches (batting cages, locker rooms, training facility, etc.), unique design with a uniquely tall left field wall, indoor fan amenities, berm seating in right field, as well as convenient parking directly north of the ballpark.

SWIMMING & DIVING LOCKER ROOMS

DESCRIPTION

  • Current locker rooms for Women’s Swimming and Diving as well as Men’s Swimming and Diving Teams in the HYPER building do not meet the standard of excellence of Utah Athletic facilities.
  • Through collaboration with campus partners, the opportunity to renovate a significant space directly off of the pool deck at Don Reddish Pool is available.
  • This renovation would build a shared team room with both women’s and men’s teams. Additionally, locker rooms would be built into two separate spaces accessible from the team room with a championship level feel for both the women’s and men’s teams.

SOCCER AND LACROSSE FACILITY

DESCRIPTION

  • The proposed Soccer/Lacrosse Facility will serve both Women’s Soccer and Men’s Lacrosse teams.
  • Located between Ute Field and Crimson Field, adjacent to the Dumke Softball Stadium, the Facility will have at least two floors that include state-of-the-art amenities such as team rooms, locker rooms, and coaches’ offices separated for both teams
  • Women’s Soccer student-athletes will have access to Ute Field directly from the Facility
  • Men’s Lacrosse student-athletes will have access to Crimson Field directly from the Facility
  • With sufficient support, the Lacrosse portion of the Facility will be built so that future grandstands and fan amenities could be built at Crimson Field

FOOTBALL LOCKER ROOM

DESCRIPTION

  • After 10 years at the incredible Spence and Cleone Eccles Football Center, the Locker Room was in need of updated lockers.
  • Utah Football contracted with Longhorn Lockers, the highest end producer of football lockers in college athletics.
  • The update provided the back-to-back Pac 12 champions with an upgraded state-of-the-art locker room, which is used daily by the student-athletes.
